He was taking the long road. She was taking the road to nowhere. It just so happened that they led to the same place…

When everything falls apart, love remains . . .

Camryn Bennett has never been happier. Five months after meeting on a Greyhound bus, she and her soul mate Andrew Parrish are engaged—and a wedding isn’t the only special event in their future. Nervous but excited, Camryn can’t wait to begin the rest of her life with Andrew – a man she knows in her heart will love her always. They have so much to look forward to—until tragedy blindsides them.

Andrew doesn’t understand how this could happen to them. He’s trying to move on, and thought Camryn was doing the same. But when Andrew discovers Camryn is secretly harboring a mountain of pain and attempting to numb it in damaging ways, there is nothing he won’t do to bring her back to life. Determined to prove that their love can survive anything, Andrew decides to take Camryn on a new journey filled with hope and passion. If only he can convince her to come along for the ride…

Liezel’s Thoughts:

I read the first book  – The Edge of Never before I became a blogger and I have to tell you that it is one of the most moving stories I’ve ever read. I can not even count how many times I’ve reread this one. I was elated when I found out that there was going to be a follow-up to their story. Originally I thought it would be a retell of the first book told in a different point of view like many others but it isn’t what I expected at all.

The Edge of Always is a continuation of Camryn and Andrew’s journey that occurs immediately after the first. With that being said, I highly recommend reading the first book before attempting to read this one. Believe me, you will not regret investing your time in reading their story. If you haven’t read book 1, scroll down for a chance to win The Edge of Never.

” I promise to love you forever in this life and wherever we go in the afterlife, because I know I can’t go on in any life unless you’re in it too.”

Just like any new relationship Camryn and Andrew to struggle with doubts and insecurities that every new couple face. They go through some rough times early on but with every trial and tribulation thrown their way they not only mature individually but we also witness their relationship continue to grow .

Camryn in one particular time has a lapse in judgment that could have ended badly but Andrew stood by her side, motivating and encouraging her every step of the way. He knew her so well – he knew exactly when and how hard to push her to move forward.

I have to say that never have I ever come across a couple with such a profound relationship. They were spiritually,  physically and psychologically perfectly matched and so well attuned to each other that it took my breath away. Andrew is Camryn’s reason to live and vice versa. Their connection is so defined  that even through the tragedy they never wavered.

I loved how free- spirited and open-minded they were. They never let society or other people including those closest to them dictate their choices. All throughout their travels they made their own rules and followed their own beliefs. These beliefs will eventually affect those in their future which I thought was endearing. I loved that even with the difficult situations they always maintained their flirtatiousness and playfulness.

That is what I found most impressive about this book. Not only did the author deliver a beautiful, bittersweet and emotional story – she somehow was able to manipulate it in such a way that not only did it make me shed plenty of tears but it also made me literally laugh out loud too.  These moments are so unique and so priceless it  definitely made it stand out from all the rest.

I love this series and I tell you that no matter how many books I read in the future Camryn and Andrew’s story is one that will be seared in my memory forever.

 Synopsis:

Twenty-year-old Camryn Bennett had always been one to think out-of-the-box, who knew she wanted something more in life than following the same repetitive patterns and growing old with the same repetitive life story. And she thought that her life was going in the right direction until everything fell apart.

Determined not to dwell on the negative and push forward, Camryn is set to move in with her best friend and plans to start a new job. But after an unexpected night at the hottest club in downtown North Carolina, she makes the ultimate decision to leave the only life she’s ever known, far behind.

With a purse, a cell phone and a small bag with a few necessities, Camryn, with absolutely no direction or purpose boards a Greyhound bus alone and sets out to find herself. What she finds is a guy named Andrew Parrish, someone not so very different from her and who harbors his own dark secrets. But Camryn swore never to let down her walls again. And she vowed never to fall in love.

But with Andrew, Camryn finds herself doing a lot of things she never thought she’d do. He shows her what it’s really like to live out-of-the-box and to give in to her deepest, darkest desires. On their sporadic road-trip he becomes the center of her exciting and daring new life, pulling love and lust and emotion out of her in ways she never imagined possible. But will Andrew’s dark secret push them inseparably together, or tear them completely apart?
